Inventory locking conditions for HOT SKU wrt time-sensitive and lot controlled items

Resolving The Problem

Inventory Locking Conditions
The system does not lock the inventory items during the following
scenarios:
During supply and/or demand update - If the inventory item is a hot
SKU, the system does not lock the inventory item and inserts the
changes for the supply and/or demand into the
YFS_INVENTORY_SUPPLY_ADDNL and
YFS_INVENTORY_DEMAND_ADDNL tables respectively.
When retrieving the availability picture, the system does not lock the
inventory item if it is a hot SKU item and:
There is more supply in the system than the estimated total
requested quantity.
The inventory is infinite.
There is zero supply for the item/node/date combination.

The system locks inventory items during the following scenarios:
During supply and/or demand update - If the inventory item is not a
hot SKU, the system locks the inventory item and inserts/updates the
changes for the supply and/or demand into the
YFS_INVENTORY_SUPPLY and YFS_INVENTORY_DEMAND tables
respectively.
When retrieving the availability picture, the system locks the
inventory item if it is not a hot SKU or:
The inventory item is a hot SKU and there is less supply in the
system than the estimated total requested quantity.
There is no availability picture for the item/node/date
combination.
Note: The system will always lock an inventory item if it is
a time-sensitive item or a lot-controlled item.

Note: The updateFutureInventory, getInventoryMismatch,
and adjustInventory APIs always lock the inventory item
during the supply adjustment.
