Troubleshooting
Problem
When playing a DVD using the application WINDVD, a user might see two problems: 1. There will be a movie screen left over on the desktop. 2. A portion of the movie content flickers while the movie continues to play. The problem can be observed while quickly adjusting between full screen and normal size. The error occurs randomly, and it is possible the symptom may not be observed at all.

Solution

---|
The application vendor, Intervideo Inc., is currently working on a new build to fix this problem. The fix target date is First Quarter 2007.
Workaround
|
---|
One of the two workarounds below can be used:
- Re-adjust the screen size. Point the mouse to the movie window and double click on the left button of the mouse. Depending on the current state of the window, this act will either maximize or minimize the size of the movie window. If the problem does not resolve on the first attempt, then repeat until it is resolved.
- Instead of using Intervideo WINDVD, Windows Media Player can be used to watch a DVD without seeing the symptom. To locate this application click Start, then All Programs, then Windows Media Player.
