Abstract
This document describes the Internet Explorer Enhanced Protected Mode (EPM) for single sign-on. Internet Explorer Enhanced Protected Mode support is automatically included with the latest AcccessAgent fix pack. As of 30 June 2017, the previously downloadable extension is now deprecated, and removed from this page.

Important update 30 June 2017
- If an earlier version of the extension to support Internet Explorer EPM is installed, such as IEExtension-8.2.2.0251, you must uninstall the extension, and then install the latest AccessAgent fix pack. To uninstall the extension, see Uninstalling the extension.
- If IEExtension-8.2.2.0251 is not yet installed, install the latest AccessAgent fix pack for Internet Explorer Enhanced Protected Mode support.

Uninstalling earlier versions of the extension
- Close all Internet Explorer processes.
Note: You can use the Windows Task Manager to verify that there are no iexplore.exe processes running. - With the Task Manager, stop the IEBroker.exe process.
- Open the command prompt with administrator privileges.
With the Command Prompt shortcut selected, right-click, and select Run as administrator. - Browse to the folder <AA Install Folder>\ECSS\IEExtension.
For example:
cd "C:\Program Files\IBM\ISAM ESSO\AA\ECSS\IEExtension" - Run uninstall.vbs.
- Open Internet Explorer and check that the IEExtension add-on no longer appears.
- With Windows Explorer, browse to the following folder:
<AA Install Folder>\ECSS - Delete the IEExtension folder.
Note: The extension is automatically removed during the uninstallation of AccessAgent 8.2.2 with Fix Pack 12 or later.
