Installing the QRadar App SDK

Summary

This tutorial will show you how to install the QRadar App SDK. The IBM QRadar Application Framework SDK can be installed on Windows, Linux, or the MacOS operating system.

Steps

Prerequsites

If you are installing on Windows you must have WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux) installed.

Installation Steps

  • Download and extract the QRadar Application Framework SDK archive (.zip file) from https://developer.ibm.com/qradar/.
  • Extract the SDK to a directory of your choice.
  • Open a terminal and navigate to the directory the SDK installation zip has been extacted to.
  • Execute the following command:
./install.sh
  • Press Enter

Note: Do not use sudo to execute the install script. Elevated privileges are not required.

The SDK is installed under your home directory. The default location is a sub-directory named qradarappsdk. The install script will ask if you want to choose a different location. If your chosen directory is not empty, the install script will warn you that the directory will be wiped, and ask for confirmation before proceeding.
