- To skill the students to identify, analyze and solve Mainframe Technology problems in the specific areas of:
- Fundamental Mainframe System Skills
- Mainframe Operating Systems (zOS, Linux on Mainframe and zVM)
- Mainframe Application Development using COBOL and JCL
- Mainframe DBMS (DB2)
- To expose students with tools used in industry in the Mainframe Technology domain
- To develop team work experience of professional skills for IT Industry

What it takes to earn this badge
- Must be a Student who has enrolled in the IBM Innovation Centre for Education Program for the System Centre of Excellence offering
- At least 60% attendance in the physical class room sessions for all the IBM courses/subjects
- The number of IBM subjects completed should be a minimum of 4, but less than 7
- Should complete a minimum of 150 hours of Classroom sessions
- 60% grade achieved in the end-of-course exam conducted by IBM or Authorized Partner
- 60% grade in Project work in aggregate from average of Project guide (60% weightage) and industry Project Mentor (40% weightage)
- All the above criteria to be certified by the University
