Abstract

This fix pack is a cumulative release and addresses some new APARs and internally found issues since the release of IBM Tivoli Netcool/Impact Version 7.1.0

Prerequisites

This fix pack includes all maintenance since the GA of Impact V7.1.0. This fix pack can be applied directly to the base V7.1.0 product release or any previous fix pack or interim fix level.

  NOTE:
  • Upgrading to IBM Tivoli Netcool/Impact Version 7.1.0.4 is required when the Impact version to be updated is at 7.1.0.0, 7.1.0.1, 7.1.0.2, or 7.1.0.3
  • Before the installation or the upgrade of IBM Tivoli Netcool/Impact, download the attached 7.1.0-TIV-NCI-FP0031-README file and review the section "3.0 Installation information" and associated subsections.

TLSv1.3 and FIPS Support
   NOTE 1: The configImpactTLSv13 script is not supported on NOI 1.6.7 on the OpenShift Container Platform when run in Full Cloud Deployment

   NOTE 2: The -fips option for the configImpactSSL script is not supported when TLSv1.3 is enabled
JavaScript changes in Fix Pack 30
   Symptom:
    In Netcool/Impact Fix Pack 7.1.0.30, the Rhino JavaScript engine was updated to a new release. This might affect how some of your JavaScript functions work.
Unable to create new Maintenance Windows
   Symptom:
     Trying to create a new Maintenance window produces the following error message:·
     "Error: SRVE0295E: Error reported:  400"
   Affected Systems:
     This issue affects systems where MWM migrations were performed.
   Root Cause:
    The MWM_DESCRIPTIONS column is missing from the mm_windows derby table.
   Resolution:
     Use the following command to create the missing column:
     <IMPACT_HOME>/bin/nc_ant -f <IMPACT_HOME>/install/configuration/cfg_scripts/reconfigure_impact_server.xml alter-table-mmwindows-columns-fp27

MWM Multiple edit page hangs when erroneous field is entered when error messages are present    Symptom:      Trying to perform tasks after multiple edit pages displays an error hangs, with saving animation stuck.    Affected Systems:     This issue affects all systems upgraded to FP31.    Resolution:     Refresh the page.

MWM page is blank on load
   Symptom:
    MWM page stays blank and does not load. In this case, the MWM UI either cannot reach and run the policy, or an error occurs when the policies run.    Affected Systems:     This issue affects all systems upgraded to FP31.    Resolution:     Check the MWM policy logs to see whether there’s an error when the policies are run.
