Abstract
The QDirSrv share was created for PC clients to access the old LDAP ADMIN GUI under the directory /QIBM/ProdData/OS400/DirSrv/UserTools/Windows. This is no longer needed.

For IBM i 7.5, LDAP QDirSrv share is not created by default when installing the LDAP product.
For IBM i releases prior to 7.5, the following PTFs will remove the unnecessary QDirSrv share.

Users who need the QDirSrv share can evaluate the security impact of re-adding the share as a read-only share and manually add the share according to the section Creating IBM i NetServer file shares in IBM Documentation.
