IBM Security zSecure: CKR1560 No Support For Simultaneous I/O To Files SV0000RF And CKRS0002

News

Abstract

When you use Access Monitor options AM.8 for removal, zSecure creates a CARLa script that allocates the same RACF database twice; once with the regular complex or version, and once with the complex name RECOVERY and version value @#$@. This does not work through CKNSERVE. This is different from the currently documented restriction on one RACF source, which applies always, independent of the type. If there are two regular complexes, zSecure cannot determine which complex is to be used for recovery.

Content

To document this inconsistency more clearly, in the zSecure Admin and Audit for RACF User Reference Manual, the notes were updated in the following sections since publication:
  • "Automatically removing unused profiles"
  • "Automatically removing unused permits"
  • "Automatically removing unused connects"
RACF_AccMon_db_cleanup_tasks.pdf: The PDF file includes only the three sections that were updated. For referenced or linked topics that were not updated, see the original V2.4.0 publication.
The zSecure Admin and Audit for RACF User Reference Manual is available to licensed clients only. To access the zSecure V2.4.0 licensed documentation, sign in to the IBM Security zSecure Suite Library Version 2.4.0 with your IBM ID and password. If you do not see the licensed documentation, your IBM ID is probably not yet registered. Send your IBM client number and IBM ID to zDoc@nl.ibm.com to register your IBM ID.
