Troubleshooting
Problem
When applying TSM configuration settings for Archive and/or Backup to TSM server in the Guardium gui an error saying 'Unable to send test file to the tsm host, there is some configuration problem in the config file' is returned.
Diagnosing The Problem
To investigate further you can do two things:
1. Turn on Guardium Application Debug log by using the following cli command:
- support must_gather app_issues
After issuing the command, try to reproduce the issue. Once the must gather file is generated, check the Application Debug log (named as yyyy-mm-dd-debug.log) for any TSM errors.
2. Or look in the file
- /opt/tivoli/tsm/client/ba/bin/dsmerror.log

Resolving The Problem
- If the error found in this file is similar to:
- ANS0361I DIAG: TCP/IP SO_SNDBUF value 256 specified as TCPWINDOWSIZE is not supported by OS. It is set to the allowed size -244.
Then please change the parameter TCPWINDOWSIZE, in the TSM config file, dsm.sys, to have a value of 244 not 256.
- If the error is similar to:
ANS1398E Initialization functions cannot open one of the Tivoli Storage Manager logs or a related file: /opt/tivoli/tsm/client/ba/dsmerror.log. errno = 13, Permission denied
