Q: With regard to API response time, when you say avoid long running transactions for MQ, is it something to set at the transaction level or in MQ properties?
A: Its not a property, but overall optimizing the transaction to ensure the average response time for the async workload is less than 10 seconds or so. If you have any external calls from the transaction, then you can apply to connect and read timeout properties to reduce the wait time. Periodically check the application logs for MQRC_BACKED_OUT MQ Error code or DB transaction rollback error.
 
Q: What are the recommended JMS properties for an APP server that is posting thousands of messages in an event JMS sender?
A: You can consider setting the following properties to improve PUT performance.
  • yfs.yfs.jms.session.disable.pooling=N
  • yfs.yfs.jms.sender.multiThreaded=Y
  • yfs.jms.sender.anonymous.reuse=true

Q: Does enabling yfs.payment.infiniteLoop.paymentHoldType property automatically applies hold on the excessive YFS_CHARGE_TRANSACTION records?
A: No, the property yfs.payment.infiniteLoop.paymentHoldType helps with orders throwing the Infinite Loop Detected error. Once we enable this property, we need to set the value to the payment hold and then if the infinite loop detected error is thrown, the order is put on hold.
 
Q: Was looking for recommendations to improve RTAM full sync performance when the item catalog mostly has bundle items.
A: There aren't any properties when it comes to bundles items specifically. If you are facing a performance challenge, then please open a support ticket for further assistance.
 
Q: Can we use HOTSku feature for tag-controlled items? Or is it only used for non-tag controlled items?
A: There are considerations for tag-controlled items when using HOTSku, please refer to the following KC document: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/order-management?topic=sku-limitations
 
Q: In OMOC what can we do if DB query statistics are stale and query performance is fluctuating?
A: In OMoC we do weekly INPLACE REORG and daily RUNSTATS within a predefined scheduled maintenance window. For more details, refer to the maintenance calendar in Self-Service Tool. Additionally, if there is a query that is performing poorly and requiring a stats update, then open a support ticket with details.
Q: Is there any OOB feature or customizations that can be done either in OrderHub or SST for Tracking Fulfilled Order and Shipment count, Stuck Orders, Cancellations, and Payment Failed orders?
A: OrderHub outbound order search screen allows users to search based on order or order line status, and also allows users to customize if they want to add any custom statuses. Also, OrderHub has an alerts screen that lets users configure alerts on orders when it's stuck, payment failed, etc.
