Abstract

Download Fix Pack 3 for InfoSphere Information Server Version 8.5. The Fix Pack is now available for Windows, AIX, Solaris, Linux for System Z, HP-UX Itanium and Redhat and SUSE

IBM InfoSphere Information Server, Version 8.5 Fix Pack 3, includes updates to the following product modules and components Business Glossary, Business Glossary Anywhere, DataStage, FastTrack, Information Analyzer, Information Services Director, Metadata Workbench, QualityStage and Blueprint Director.

Fix Pack 3 for Information Server Version 8.5 may be downloaded from Fix Central using the link in the Download package section of this document. Within Fix Central, choose the package for the platform on which your services and engine tiers are installed. Fix Central will automatically determine the proper requisite packages you need, including those packages that are necessary for the client tier. Use this checklist to validate that your download from Fix Central is complete and you have all the necessary files to perform the installation.

Updated October 28, 2013: Fix Pack 3a released
This Fix Pack refresh includes APAR JR45094. That APAR addresses an issue when upgrading WebSphere to version 7.0.0.25 or later. The refresh can be identified by looking at the Version.xml to see if Fix Pack 3a has been installed or by unzipping the .ispkg file of the Fix Pack 3 installation image and looking at the Description element of the PatchManifest.xml file. The description will indicate FixPack 3a instead of FixPack 3:

If you already have 8.5 Fix Pack 3 installed, you must install APAR JR45094 or install the ISF Security Patch for 8.5 Fix Pack 3 prior to upgrading WAS to 7.0.0.25 or later. Contact IBM Support for APAR JR45094
