Abstract

This optional update adds RSA v8 support to the SOA Tools delivered with IBM Banking Process and Service Models (BPS) 8.3.0 and IBM Insurance Process and Service Models (IPS) 8.3.0

Download Description

IBM Banking Process and Service Models (BPS) 8.3.0 and IBM Insurance Process and Service Models (IPS) 8.3.0 were released with IBM Industry Models SOA Tools for the following IBM Rational Software applications:

- IBM Rational Software Architect for WebSphere Software v7.x
- IBM Rational Software Architect Standard Edition v7.x
- IBM Rational Software Modeler v7.x

In order for BPS 8.3.0 models and IPS 8.3.0 models to work with RSA v8 you need to update your IBM Industry Models SOA Tools by downloading and installing this update.

* WARNING *
After installing this update, the IBM Industry Models SOA Tools will work with your RSA v8 installation but will not work with your RSx v7.x installation.

You can remove the old version of SOA Tools by uninstalling it using IBM Installation Manager.

Prerequisites


Minimum:
IBM Rational Software Architect v8.0.1
IBM Rational Software Architect for WebSphere Software v8.0.1

One or both of the following offerings:
IBM Banking Processes and Services v8.3.0
IBM Insurance Processes and Services v8.3.0

Installation Instructions


Download 8.3.0.0-IM-SOA_Tools-3.2.1.2.zip from IBM Fix Central. See the Download Package section below.

To Install:
- Extract all the files from the Download Package.
- Navigate to the Disk1 folder.
- Double click on setup.exe.
- Follow the instructions in the installation wizards.

Or, to Install using the installer with screen reader software:
- Extract all the files from the Download Package.
- Install the Java Access Bridge and enable it for using screen reader software.
- Ensure Java is executable from all paths.
- Navigate to the "Disk1\InstData\NoVM" folder.
- Double click on Install.exe.
- Follow the instructions in the installation wizards.
