Problem
IBM Guardium Log masked details not working with Z/OS IMS Databases
Symptom
Log masked details for Z/OS IMS database captures no data for any fields which was working with Log Full details
Cause
None
Environment
9.x and 10.x all versions
Diagnosing The Problem
Follow the below steps to reproduce the issue
1. Create a test policy with one access rule
2. Select the DB_TYPE as IMS and apply action as Log masked details
3. Install the policy
4. Run SQL on IMS database to access some fields in a table. And check report Full_SQL_by_DB_USER on the appliance you will see that guardium no longer captures any of the fields which were accessed on the SQL query
Resolving The Problem
Log masked details is not supported for Z/OS IMS database. It only works with Mainframe when monitoring DB2
