Abstract
This workshop provides comprehensive hands-on guidance for configuration and administration of IBM Tape System Library Manager (IBM TSLM). IBM Tape System Library Manager provides a resource management layer between the backup application IBM Spectrum® Protect and the IBM tape library hardware.

Objective
You first learn about the architecture and concept of IBM Tape System Library Manager (IBM TSLM). Then, you start configuring your IBM TSLM server with the prepared tape libraries and learn how to group the tape resources. Further on you configure the IBM TSLM client and perform the required changes and adjustments in IBM Spectrum Protect. After the configuration is finalized, you start monitoring and administration tasks in IBM TSLM while performing backups and restores.
