IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation fails to install on ROSA: FAIL - Prerequisites Deployment failed

Troubleshooting


Problem

Installation of IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation (starter) on ROSA fails, eventhough all prerequisites are met and the IBM License Service operator is running.

However, the prerequisites deployment fails with the message "Foundation instance content failed to pass in Ready status." Additionally, the ConfigMap containing the routes information does not appear.

Cause

Missing step in the installation process

Environment

  • Product Version: IBM Cloud Pak For Business Automation
  • Component Area: FileNet Content Manager 
  • Cloud Platform: AWS 
  • Red Hat OpenShift Version: RHOCP 4.12

Diagnosing The Problem

  • Verify that the ROSA cluster meets the CP4BA prerequisites.
  • Try restarting the ROSA cluster.
  • Check the CP4BA installer log for any errors.
