This fix can be obtained either by performing an Eclipse p2 update or an update in Installation Manager. NOTE: It is no longer possible to do a direct download of the fix pack for CICS Interdependency Analyzer for z/OS plug-in V5.3 onwards.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The CICS IA plug-in system requirements are listed on the CICS Interdependency Analyzer for z/OS System Requirements page.
The CICS IA Version 5.3.0 plug-in must be installed in CICS Explorer V5.3.0. CICS Explorer runs on IBM Explorer for z/OS V3.0. Please refer to the IBM Explorer for z/OS and CICS Interdependency Analyzer for z/OS sections of the z/OS Explorer, CICS Explorer, and CICS tools plug-ins release compatibility reference tables.
Installation information
Find further online installation instructions within the technote, entitled "Ordering maintenance for IBM CICS Explorer and CICS Explorer plug-ins".
Prior to installation
It is recommended that you take a backup of the CICS Explorer workspace before upgrading. Online instructions on how to do this for the CICS Explorer can be found here: "Taking a backup of the CICS Explorer workspace".
Note that in CICS Explorer Version 5.3, the name of the default workspace has changed to .zosexplorer.
Installing
This is covered in the "Ordering maintenance for IBM CICS Explorer and CICS Explorer plug-ins" technote. There are two main ways of installing the CICS Interdependency Analyzer for z/OS plug-in fix pack:
- IBM Installation Manager
- Eclipse P2 Update Site
IBM Installation Manager
- Open the Installation Manager Preferences - Repositories page
- You must ensure that the repository http://public.dhe.ibm.com/ibmdl/export/pub/software/htp/zos/tools/aqua/ is available.
- Click the Update option in the Installation Manager wizard and follow the prompts to update the CICS Interdependency Analyzer for z/OS plug-in.
Eclipse P2 Update Site
If you would like to continue to use the Eclipse provided update method then follow these instructions:
- Run the CICS Explorer as usual. If you intend to use the composite update site and you know that it is already available, you can skip to the next step.
- To add the composite update site, select Help -> Install New Software... from the top menu.
- Click the Available Software Sites hyperlink.
- Select the Add... button.
- Type in a name for this update site
- Enter the following URL http://public.dhe.ibm.com/ibmdl/export/pub/software/htp/zos/tools/aqua/ into the Location text box.
- Click OK
- Ensure the checkbox is selected against it once added.
- Click OK in the Preferences Dialog to return
- Click Cancel button or exit dialog to return.
- Select Help -> Check For Updates
- If any are available, please follow instructions in the dialogs to install.

Uninstalling if necessary
If using IBM Installation Manager, to revert back to the old version of the CICS Explorer, this can be achieved by using the Rollback function.
Otherwise, if you decide that you want to revert back to the old version of the CICS Explorer, you will be able to replace the .zosexplorer folder with the backup that you made prior to upgrading.

- From the welcome screen, click the Tutorials icon. The icon names are displayed when you hover over them.
- From the main menu bar, click: Help -> Help Contents -> CICS IA Plug-in User Guide.
