Troubleshooting
Problem
In IBM Business Process Manager V8.5.0, database and security properties were moved from the 99Local.xml and 100Custom.xml configuration files to the WebSphere Application Server configuration files. These properties are no longer configurable using the 99Local.xml and 100Custom.xml configuration files. If you modified properties in the configuration files in the source environment, the customized properties are not available in the target environment after migration.
Symptom
IBM Business Process Manager properties that are customized in the 99Local.xml and 100Custom.xml files in the source environment are not available in the target environment after migration.
Cause
In IBM Business Process Manager V8.5,0, database and security properties were moved from the 99Local.xml and 100Custom.xml configuration files to the WebSphere Application Server configuration files.
Resolving The Problem
IBM Business Process Manager properties must be updated using the command-line administration tool (wsadmin) AdminConfig commands to update the values in the target environment.
Exception: The migration process does import customizations of the process-center-install-group and offline-install-group properties from the source environment to the target environment. For all other properties, follow the steps below.
1. Navigate to the snapshot_folder/cell_name/Configurations/101CustomMigrated.xml configuration file in the Process Server, Process Center, or Performance Data Warehouse environments.
2. Search for properties that were customized in source environment and use the command-line administration tool (wsadmin) AdminConfig commands to update the values in the target environment. See the topic, "Security configuration properties" for more information.
