How To
Summary
There are three built-in JREs on TBSM 6.2.0 environment. To keep these JREs up to date, here is the information where to download and how to upgrade them.
Steps
- Download the appropriate "Simple unzip with license (InstallAnywhere root not required) package(s)" from https://developer.ibm.com/javasdk/downloads/sdk8/. Each of these packages will be a single executable, that will install the JRE files. Put them into a temporary directory, such as /temp/_jvm.
- Backup the original _jvm from the TBSM XMLtoolkit server, the TBSM Dash server, the TBSM DB server.
- XMLtoolkit location: /opt/IBM/tivoli/tbsm/XMLtoolkit/_jvm/
- TBSM Dash location: /opt/IBM/tivoli/tbsmdash/_jvm/
- TBSM DB location: /home/db2inst1/IBM/tivoli/tbsmdb/_jvm/
- Copy the new _jvm created in steps 1 to the TBSM XMLtoolkit server, the TBSM Dash server, the TBSM DB server.
- After replaced, run the tests:
- on TBSM XMLtoolkit server:
- run a ./getArtifact.sh command (for example: ./getArtifact.sh -U db2inst1 -P db2inst1 -d /tmp -n NamingRules.xml -c scrconfig)
ensure the command completes successfully, and the content of the output file is correct.
- restart the XMLtoolkit, and ensure it startup successfully.
