Answer

This article is valid for Foundation 8.x version.

Sterling supports JDK patch level upgrade per policy documented in article - FAQ2871. Once its verified that the policy requirements are met, the JDK version used by Sterling Application can be modified by following two steps:

1> Create a soft link from JDK installed location to YFS_HOME/jdk.

Eg: Unix command to should be run from YFS_HOME folder : ln -s SourceJDKLocation jdk

OR

1> Modify sandbox.cfg folders to point to the higher jdk version and run setupfiles.sh from YFS_HOME\bin\.
setupfiles.sh updates all Out of box scripts used by Sterling Agents and Integration server.

2> Create folder JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/endorsed. Copy serializer.jar, xalan.jar, xercesImpl.jar, xmlParserAPIs.jar to JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/endorsed folder.
