How to submit ideas for product enhancement

Summary

We understand that our users may sometimes require a feature that is currently unavailable in MaaS360. IBM has established a process known as IBM Idea to give customers and partners a say in the product's development.

Steps

Submitting an idea only takes a few minutes. To submit an idea, follow the steps below.

  1. Access the IBM Idea Portal
  2. Log in to Your Account
    • Use your IBMid credentials to log in. If you don’t have an account, follow the on-screen instructions to create an IBMid.
  3. Navigate to the Submission Page
    • Once logged in, look for a section labeled “Add new Idea.” Click on it to begin the submission process.
  4. Choose the Relevant Category
    • Select the appropriate product and category for your idea. 
  5. Enter Your Idea Title
    • Provide a concise and clear title that captures the essence of your idea. 
  6. Describe Your Idea
    • In the description field, provide a detailed explanation of your idea. Include the problem it solves, its potential benefits, and any other relevant details.
    • In the IBM business impact statement field, be specific and clear to help others understand the value of your idea. This information will make an impact, and it is required to prioritize and drive this idea forward.
  7. Attach Supporting Documentation (Optional)
    • If you have any supporting documents, diagrams, or examples, upload them here. This can help clarify your idea and make a stronger case for its implementation.
  8. Select Impact and Priority
    • Indicate the potential impact of your idea and how urgently you believe it should be implemented. This helps reviewers prioritize your submission.
  9. Identify the Client Requesting This Feature
    • Provide the name of the company that has requested this specific feature request. 
  10. Review Your Submission
    • Before submitting, review all the information you’ve entered to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  11. Submit Your Idea
    • Once everything is in order, click the “Add idea” button


What happens next?

Once you’ve submitted your idea, a team will process it, and you can check the status of your request at any time on the IBM Ideas portal.
