Question & Answer
Question
How do you configure IBM Rational DOORS to use a default link module other than DOORS Links?
Cause
You have already created a linkset but when you attempt to create a link in DOORS a prompt displays the message "A linkset does not exist for this operation. Do you want to create one?"
By default DOORS will use a link module named " DOORS Links".
If you want to use a different default there is a setting in DOORS that allows you to define what default link module will be used.
Answer
Steps to set DOORS default link module:
- Log in as an admin type user
- Click Tools > Options
- Select the Settings tab
- Click Browse in the Miscellaneous section to choose the link module with the linkset
- Select the link module
- Click OK to close the Browse window
- Click Apply in the DOORS options window
- Click OK
