Question & Answer
Question
How do you send an event over SysML 1.3 Proxy Ports using IBM Rational Rhapsody?
Cause
You would like to use SysML 1.3 features in IBM Rational Rhapsody, but cannot find an example showing this new implementation.
Answer
SysML 1.3 Proxy Ports use Interface Blocks to create a contract that maps the exposed functionality between two blocks.
As with the IBM Rational Rhapsody UML implementation you can one of two methods to send the event:
- The UML "Send Action" element
- The IBM Rational Rhapsody Object Execution Framework (OXF) "OUT_PORT" macro.
An example project for each can be found below.
