How to search for unresolved elements in Rational Rhapsody

Question & Answer

Question

How do you search for unresolved and unloaded elements when no selection for unresolved elements is shown in the advanced search dialog of a model in IBM Rational Rhapsody?

Cause

You want to find elements which are not loaded with the Rational Rhapsody model and elements which are using such unresolved elements. For example unresolved types.

On Windows 7 machines with screen resolution of 125% or more you do not see the "Unresolved" section.

Answer

To resolve the problem you need to open the Advanced Search & Replace dialog from the menu:

  1. Click on Edit > Advanced Search and Replace.

  2. Click on the More Options button to expand it.

  3. Resize the dialog box by moving the divider down to enlarge the frame and the additional "Unresolved" section will become visible.
