Question & Answer

Question

How can you configure Rational Rhapsody for Software to run and develop models in Java?

Cause

You want to use Java language instead of the default C++ in Rhapsody Architect

Answer

1. open the properties for the Rhapsody icon

2. in target line enter: rhapsody.exe -architect -lang=java

3. launch Rhapsody. It shows in title bar:

IBM Rational Rhapsody Architect for Software (in C++)

4a. create a new model, you are asked to select C++, C or Java

4b. when you already have a Java model then just open it
