How do you retain Standard Carrier Alpha Code (SCAC) and carrierservicecode in orderline schedules in IBM Sterling Order Management?
Cause
You want to integrate with third party carrier services to get the transportation cost and SCAC.
Answer
Example Scenario:

is used to provide carrier service and SCAC back in the output along with cost. The cost varies based on the SCAC and carrier service. The options considered are not always the one selected during ordering present at order line level. Hence Scheduler uses the cost (in cost based allocation) to pick the cheapest option. However, the parameters like carrier service code is not propagated back to the order. Though it might not be possible to stamp the values back to orderline as an orderline can split into multiple release, however retaining them in the order line schedules <schedule> should be possible. This will help in knowing the appropriate carrier and SCAC chosen and use them further in pipeline like release and shipment.

- The SCAC and service determined would be stamped on the shipment level and not at the order level.
- The SCAC and service would be stamped on the order only when it is a part of the order itself and is supplied at the time of creating the order.
