Question
How do you restore incoming links from a module that is copied using standard DOORS copy module function from IBM Rational DOORS?
Cause
You would like to know on how to achieve restoring a copied module from Rational DOORS with both incoming and outgoing links.
Answer
Procedure:
- Navigate to the project or folder from where the module needs to be copied
- Right click on the appropriate module from right pane of the database
- Select copy
- Navigate to the project or folder where the module needs to be restored
- Right click on the right pane of the database
- Select Paste Special
- Select All Objects under copy from the Paste Special window
- Check copy checkbox under links
- Click select
- Put a check mark next to the "Through same link module" checkbox under link options window
Note: Ensure all source modules from where incoming links are present in the copied module are open while applying paste special function.
