Problem
This document describes how to reset or restart the RMC server in VIOS.
Resolving The Problem
There are times when the RMC server in VIOS is ended for unknown reasons. To restart the server, use the following commands:
$ oem_setup_env (to get to restricted shell)
# rmcctrl -z (stops the server)
# rmcctrl -A (starts the server)
# rmcctrl -p (enables remote client connections)
