How to open a support case for DataPower Operations Dashboard (DPOD)

Summary

Follow the instructions provided to open a support case for DataPower Operations Dashboard (DPOD).

Steps

1.  Log into the IBM Support Site.
2.  Click on the link to Open a case.
3.  Fill in the appropriate sections:
  • Type of Support - Select Product support
  • *Title - Enter the problem summary
  • *Product Manufacturer - Select IBM
  • *Product - Enter DPOD (The auto search will return DataPower - Also known as DPOD.  Select this entry which will now show DataPower for the product.
  • *Machine serial number - This information can be found in DPOD for any of the monitored devices.  In DPOD, navigate to Manage > Devices > Gateway > Select a Gateway > Click on the Gateway Info tab in the upper right hand corner. 
  • *Product Version - Select the appropriate DataPower Gateway version
  • *Severity - Choose the appropriate severity
  • *Account - Select the appropriate account
  • *Version and Fixpack - Enter the full DPOD version (For example, 1.0.10.1)
  • *Product Type - Select DP Operations Dashboard (DPOD)
  • *Platform - Select either VMWare or Linux based on your DPOD installation
  • *Environment - Select the appropriate environment
  • *Business Impact - Enter details on how the problem reported impacts the business.
  • *Description - Enter the detailed problem description
  • Attachments - Click the Upload files button to add diagnostic or any other data.
Please note all the fields marked by * are required fields.
