Question & Answer
Question
How do you make a *.prp file specific to a project in IBM Rational Rhapsody?
Cause
You would like to have certain custom properties specific to a project or model in Rational Rhapsody.
Answer
In order to make the *.prp file project specific point to the location of *.prp file either in property Model::Profile::PropertyFile or Model::Stereotype::PropertyFile.
By pointing the *.prp file in Model::Profile::PropertyFile, you would create a profile which can be reused in another project by loading the profile.
By adding the *.prp to Model::Stereotype::PropertyFile you would make the *.prp specific to only that project.
