How to make LoginID case insensitive in IBM Sterling Web Call Center(CCC) and IBM Sterling Web Store(WSC)?

Question & Answer

Question

Customer wants to incorporate case insensitive login id for users when they try to access Web Call Center or Web Store. For e.g. There is a CSR "john", he should be able to access WCC either by entering "JOHN" or "John" or "john" in the login id.

Answer

The above requirement can be achieved by overriding the log-in mashup in the respective applications and converting the characters to all lower-case before calling the actual login API. However, you have to make sure all users have lower-case values in the user definitions (i.e. while creating the users in Applications Manager).

For e.g., User should be created as "john" and not "John"
