How to integrate an external editor spell checker for non- English Language with IBM Rational Rhapsody

Question & Answer

Question

How do you integrate external editor in IBM Rational Rhapsody

Cause

You might be using a non-English language and you need an external editor to integrate with IBM Rational Rhapsody.

Answer

For those who wants to perform spell checking for non-English language, you might use an external editor that comes with a spell-check feature for your language.

To do this, set General::Model::DescriptionEditor and General::Model::EditorCommandLine to the editor of your choice, e.g. notepad.exe for Windows, and set General::Model::ClassCodeEditor to "Command Line".

This way you can open the external editor by pressing the "..." button that appears next to the editing section (e.g. implementation body, description, etc), and then run the spell-checker of that editor in the normal manner.
