Question & Answer
Question
How do you enable ReporterPLUS error logging in IBM Rational Rhapsody
Cause
You are having difficulties generating a report using ReporterPLUS.
Answer
By default ReporterPLUS error logging is disabled. To enable it you must modify the following registry entries. This example is for Rhapsody 8.2. Please modify the path as appropriate for your installed version.
- Set the following entries to 1:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Telelogic\Telelogic Rhapsody ReporterPLUS 8.2\LoggableEventTypes\Catch
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Telelogic\Telelogic Rhapsody ReporterPLUS 8.2\LoggableEventTypes\Throw
- Set the following entry to 0:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Telelogic\Telelogic Rhapsody ReporterPLUS 8.2\Settings\Trace
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Telelogic\Telelogic Rhapsody ReporterPLUS 8.2\Settings_DFM\Trace
These settings will generate a large amount of logging data so it is not recommended to leave these settings enabled for normal use.
The log file - RhapsodyReporterLog.txt - is created in the ReporterPLUS directory of your Rhapsody installation.
Please send log files to Rational Technical Support.
However, please note that an empty project will generate approximately 240 lines of warnings (~12KB). This is normal behavior.
