Question
How do I restart vCenter on IBM Cloud Pak System? What is the impact?
Answer
You can restart vCenter on IBM Cloud Pak System from the administrative shell . You can do this operation without any help from IBM support.
To restart the vCenter, run this command:
psm reset Service49
vCenter will be taken offline and rebooted.
Restarting the vCenter does not impact any running (or active) virtual machines. However, you cannot deploy any new virtual machines during the change window.
Compute nodes are put in quiesced state.
