Problem
How do I print labels for a non-WMS (DOM) node?
Symptom
PART: Warehouse Management System 7.7 Platform
I have an Application
Console (or DOM) node, and I want to print labels for it. I have set up an
Enterprise printer, but I am not able to print; I get an Invalid Device ID
error. What's missing?
Cause
Resolving The Problem
If you create a Node-level printer, you should be able to print using both custom and out-of-the-box print services. Some API's are not valid for DOM nodes, like Shipment Container Labels, but labels such as Pick List and Pack List will still print, even though Batch and Location fields will be blank.
