How do you create keystore file to configure https (secure connection) port with IBM Rational DOORS Web Access?

You would like to know the command using which keystore file can be created to configure https port usage with DOORS Web Access.

Answer

Steps to create keystore file and configure https port usage with DOORS Web Access:

  1. Navigate to <DWA Install directory>\<version>\win32\ibm-java-i386-60\jre\bin folder

  2. Execute the following command to create a new Keystore file

    keytool -genkey -keystore "location for saving the keystore file" -keyalg RSA -alias hostname

  3. Follow the steps provided in the DOORS infocenter document on 'Configuring Rational DOORS Web Access to use SSL' once keystore file is created to complete the setup.
