Question
We have managed to create object store manually in container environment, and we would like to further enable Content Search Service on this object store, and first we have to create an Index Area. However, we do not know how to create it, there is no documentation. Can you guide me through the whole process?
Answer
Here are detailed steps:
1 Logon IBM administrative console for Content Platform Engine, locate the manual created object store, Administrative- Index Areas
2 Create new index area, highly suggest the following naming rule, then proceed to next page
<objstorename>_index_area
3 In the next page, root directory value must be: /opt/ibm/indexareas and in the meantime, ensure for Affinity group option aff_group should be selected
4 confirm to ensure the index area is being created successfully.
5 Then back to object store Text Search tab, enable IBM Content Search Service, and select language, by default it is en, English
6 Next go to Data Design - Classes - Document, enable CBR for the document Class
7 Verify if it is working via uploading documents to IBM Content Navigator, then check if collection path presents on NFS server
