How do you clear the stale data of YFS_INVENTORY_TAG in IBM Sterling Order Management?
Cause
The stale data is left behind in the columns - TotalOnhandSupply,TotalOtherSupply and TotalDemand by turning off the flag Summarize and Maintain Total Demand and Supply Values For Tag Controlled Items.
Answer
Use Inventory Purge Agent to clear the stale date from YFS_INVENTORY_TAG table.
About stale entries for YFS_INVENTORY_TAG:
When Summarize and Maintain Total Demand and Supply Values For Tag Controlled Items is checked and when the inventory for the item is adjusted, the values of theTotalOnhandSupply, TotalOtherSupply and TotalDemand fields are updated accordingly in the YFS_INVENTORY_TAG table. The limitation of using this flag is that HOT SKU would not kick in for the tag controlled items. In order to enable HOT SKU for these items, this flag would need to be turned off.
However, the values of the TotalOnhandSupply, TotalOtherSupply and TotalDemand are now not updated, leaving behind stale data.
Use Inventory Purge Agent and meet the following conditions to delete from YFS_INVENTORY_TAG table.
- For YFS_INVENTORY_TAG, it is purged if the INVENTORY_TAG_KEY is not used by any of the existing supply and demand.
- For YFS_INVENTORY_SUPPLY, if the following conditions are met, an inventory supply is picked up for purge:
Supply record has the same availability type as the node.
For example, TRACK or INFINITE.
Supply record has 0 quantity.
Supply record does not contain the supply type INFO.
- For YFS_INVENTORY_DEMAND, if the following conditions are met, an inventory demand is picked up for purge:
Demand record has 0 quantity or lesser.
Demand record does not have demand details as well as matching demand record in YFS_INVENTORY_DEMAND_ADDNL tables.
