Question & Answer
Question
How do you configure Microsoft Visual Studio (VS) 2008 compiler in IBM Rational Rhapsody?
Cause
Your Rational Rhapsody by default is configured to VS 2010 and you want to configure VS 2008.
Answer
There are two ways to configure VS 2008 compiler in Rational Rhapsody :
- Modify CPP_CG::MSVC::IDEVersion property to set the value VC9 and Build Framework.
OR
- Configure Rational Rhapsody with the VS 2008 compiler by modifying the factoryC++.prp property file which is present in <Rhapsody installation folder>\share\Properties location.
In factoryC++.prp "IDEVersion" is the variable, which needs to be modified with value VC9.
