Summary

The Blackberry (Dynamics) on the iPad / Android client generates logging information. The steps below uploads the BB logs to the Blackberry Network Operations Center (NOC). This enables BB Support to extract and analyze the information.

Objective

This procedure will allow you to download the Blackberry (Dynamics) Diagnostic log.

Environment

Steps

This is for the Supported versions of the iOS / Android operating system running the IBM Cognos Mobile Blackberry (Dynamic) App.
1. Run the "Settings" app on the iPad.
2. Select "IBM Cognos for Blackberry" under the Apps section.
3. Select "Support Settings" on the right pane.
4. Enable the switch for Logging.
5. Tap on the Level of detail and change the selection to Network. (No Debug).
6. Back in the Settings > Support Setting section for the Cognos app, you will see a switch for "Upload Good Logging". Select this switch so that it shows green.
7. Return to the IBM Cognos Mobile for Blackberry app (bring it to the foreground). Doing this will transmit the Balackberry (Dynamics) logs to the BB NOC.
8. Reproduce the issue.
9. Transmit the good user account that sent the logs and the time (including timezone).
As in the BB Controller logs, once these are uploaded to the NOC then you have to talk to your BB Support person to review the logs. BB Controller server name and time of upload are important pieces of information to help them find your specific logs.
