Question & Answer
Question
We have IBM i2 Analyst Notebook Premium (ANBP) and an IBM i2 Enterprise Insight Analysis (EIA) system. Most of the time our users connect to the Information Store on the EIA server. Is it possible to use ANBP in detached mode? The schema in the Information store is restricted and a few users would like to use ANBP with all the possible items.
Cause
The default chart template for i2 Analyst's Notebook Premium is the Opal template. The opal template uses the schema items from the opal server accessing data from the Information Store, and therefore limits the icon pallets to the schema defined for the EIA server.
Answer
To use the pallet that contains all the icons available, you can select the "Standard" template.
Steps:
- From the File menu, select New -> New from Template...
- From the "New From Template" window, select the Standard template. OK.
- In the new chart, you can change the palette to select "Common" or other categories of the icons outside the "EIA" items.
