How can I check if an application is listening on a port and it's name
Answer
In order to check which application is listening on a port, you can use the following command from the command line:
- For Microsoft Windows:
netstat -ano | find "1234" | find "LISTEN"
tasklist /fi "PID eq 1234"
- For Linux:
netstat -anpe | grep "1234" | grep "LISTEN"
