How do you avoid stamping of Ship node on the order in IBM Sterling Order Management when order gets backordered?

Cause

Scheduling stamps the node when there is no inventory found.

Answer

Scheduling will do a inventory check at the node. If the required inventory is not found then the node will stamped and order is backordered.


Steps to avoid stamping of the ship node:

  1. Enable the ON_BACKORDERED event for scheduleOrder transaction.

  2. In the event call a service which inturn should invoke changeOrder API by passing blank shipnode in the input.

This will remove the shipnode stamped on the order earlier.
