This was required such that the default setting for attributes and operations of a block in a diagram is permanently set to a given value in Rational Rhapsody.

Steps to set the default setting values present within the "Display options" dialog:

  1. Launch Rational Rhapsody and open any diagram

For example, open an Internal Block Diagram

  4. Suppose you want the "ALL" options to be set as default every time you place a block symbol
    1. Right click on the already selected block
    2. Choose “Make Default”

  5. In the Make default dialog, select “Display Option” and choose if these default settings should be valid across the project or Diagram level

  6. Click OK
