How to add everyone group to the Cognos System Administrator Role ?
This becomes a requirement when Admin access to the environment is lost for various reasons and no one can login to Cognos Administration
Environment
Cognos Analytics any version on any OS
Steps
1.Take a complete backup of the content store
2.Connect to your Content Store using the database client and Database Admin privileges
3.Copy script AddSysAdminMember.sql from the Cognos Analytics install dir and run it in the database client.
Script can be found for SQL, Oracle, DB2, Sybase in the directory <Cognos Analytics Install Dir>\configuration\schemas\content\
4.Restart Cognos Analytics Services
5.Test again and all your users should now be able to see the Administration Console (Manage Tab)
6.Go to Administration-->Security-->Users/group and check the System Admin role -->Set properties
Here you should add the user you need and then remove everyone.
7.Logout and login with the desired system admin account
