Problem

This document describes posting DST to the partition console for an IBM eServer i5 system using HMC Version 6 and earlier.

This document describes posting DST to the partition console for an IBM eServer i5 system using HMC Version 6 and earlier. To force DST on an HMC managed system, do the following:

Prepartion: Verify the partition 5250 console session is connected.

Step 1: In the navigation area, expand Service Applications, then select Service Focal Point. In the Service Focal Point panel, click Service Utilities.

Step 2: Left click the desired server to highlight it, then click the menu option Selected, Operator Panel Service Functions...

Step 3: Left click the target partition, then click the menu item Partition Functions, Activate Dedicated Service Tools (21) - OS/400.

Step 4: Click OK to the confirmation message.
