Abstract
HIPER (Doc Number=6969): High Impact / Highly Pervasive APARs IJ31936/IJ31191
Content
Multiple issues seen while using NPIV adapters with AIX 7200-05 or VIOS 3.1.2
IBM has seen multiple issues using Virtual Fibre Channel (NPIV) adapters, including but not limited to:
- Path failures and timeouts
- Failure to mount Virtual Tape Libraries
- Errpt entries on boot indicating "Multiple Queues are not supported"
- Crash of AIX LPAR
There is potential for undetected data corruption with VIOS 3.1.2 and Power9, however, we have not seen it.
