This document lists data sources that are compatible with Guardium discovery and classification processes.

Discovery and classification processes define how Guardium finds and treats sensitive data. For example, sensitive data includes credit card numbers, social security numbers, and personal financial information. For more information, visit the IBM Security Guardium documentation website, select a version, and navigate to Discover > Discover Sensitive Data.

Database vendors are continually updating their software, and this makes it difficult to thoroughly validate Guardium support for all releases. As a best practice, we recommend validating discovery and classification functionality with specific database releases in a test environment before deploying to production. |
