Problem
Getting the following message when starting the IBM Cognos Analytics service:
CAM-CRP-1679 SSL ciphesuites are not configured properly. Ensure the ciphersuites are properly configured and match the configured SSL
Cause
The list of cipher suites selected in Cognos Configuration->Cryptography->Cognos does not include cipher suites supported and defined for the TLS / SSL protocol chosen in The property 'SSL Protocol' in Cognos Configuration->Cryptography.
In this particular case, the property 'SSL Protocol' in Cognos Configuration->Cryptography was set to TLS1.1 in the affected environment and there were no cipher suites in Cognos Configuration->Cryptography->Cognos weak enough for TLS1.1.
Resolving The Problem
Sett he property 'SSL Protocol' in Cognos Configuration->Cryptography to match cipher suites in Cognos Configuration->Cryptography->Cognos or add cipher suites supported for the 'SSL Protocol'
