Troubleshooting
Problem
GDX Criteria control files: New print not working, or no output from _crit.ctrl file, or zero-byte output file generated.
Symptom
PART: Prints 6.2 SP3 DCS
My criteria control file (abcdefg_crit.ctrl)
works fine when I call GDX from the command prompt, but when I run it from DCS,
I get no output.
What needs to be included in the crit.ctrl file for it
to be used correctly by Yantra?
Cause
Resolving The Problem
We have to add the following lines in the section WRITETODATAFILE of segment
fields in the criteria control file.
GEN_CRITERIA1 CHAR %1s
NM
GEN_CRITERIA2 CHAR %1s NM
GEN_CRITERIA3 CHAR %1s
NM
GEN_CRITERIA4 CHAR %1s NM
GEN_CRITERIA5 CHAR %1s
NM
SPL_GEN_CRITERIA1 CHAR %1s NM
SPL_GEN_CRITERIA2 CHAR %1s
NM
SPL_GEN_CRITERIA3 CHAR %1s NM
SPL_GEN_CRITERIA4 CHAR %1s
NM
SPL_GEN_CRITERIA5 CHAR %1s NM
These lines has to be there to run
gdx for criteria control file. When you run GDX without these lines, the output
wont get generated.
