Problem
Foundation 8.0 upgrade error in reading “Vendor.properties? file.
Symptom
While performing the
“migration-validation” step while upgrading from 7.3 to 8.0,
following command gets executed which displays an error as attached below.
${ANT_HOME}/bin/ant
-Druntime=/interface/yantra/Sterling/Foundation -Druntime.old=/opt/yantra -f
buildmigration.xml -logfile migrationValidation.log
-Dtarget=migration-validation migrate
[java] An error occurred reading vendorFile:
vendor.properties

java.io.FileNotFoundException: classpath: /vendor.properties

WARNING WARNING
[java] You did not
correctly specify a vendorFile system property,
[java] in order for me to run correctly, you need to specify a vendorFile.
[java] For example:

java -DvendorFile=/path/to/vendor.properties
Resolving The Problem
“Vendor.properties” file has been introduced as part of Foundation 8.0 and so ideally it should not look for this file.
Solution: - One solution could be to copy the
log4jconfig.xml from <Yantra7.3 Install Dir>\runtime\resources folder to
<Yantra7.3 Install Dir>\resources folder and execute the
“init-upgrade” target again.
